After this I started creating a few sample bookmarks based on these ideas : ( INSERT IDEAS)
This lead me to my favourite which I thought incorporated a lot of the key locations and themes.( Insert favourite idea)
I started to picture how I could create it. I decided that photoshop was the best idea this way I could use old photos taken in world war two to get the real feel of the settings. Firstly I created a basic collage of images in Photoshop editing them so that you see the different location described in the book.
To further this I will change the shape by adding a large Logo in a circle shape that was often seen on the wings of the planes to identify them. To do this I inserted the plain bookmark I had in to adobe illustrator and with shapes and text to create the final logo. Also to further this i have added cut out line this indicates the shape of the bookmark.
My finished bookmark:
The changes to make :
These darker colours portrait the serious side of the book but are still a bit strange just like the characters. After changing these colours i needed to change the details to my logo and the overall look.
I did this by changing the fonts and the style of the star this overall improved my look to get the completed front. The front finished :
I now have started to work on the back here there will be dispayed a small synopsis of the book. My first bookmark back has multiple fonts and selected large quotations this also has the same cut out lines as the book mark front:
These two together have created the basic design for my bookmark there may be small changes once the synopsis has been completed.
