Front page for my magazine

I am currently working on a magazine assignment my magazine is called Rosie and is about vintage life  i have worked on a front cover which includes a candy theme. Here is my trial cover:

I have used overlayed hand drawings and then the image will be placed better as soon as i have an original image of a model that will include the shoulders so the face will sit at the top of the cupcake
